ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Amidst neo-soul, alt-R&B and alt-pop, Lia J bathes her musical canvas in finely nuanced shades of deluded hope, toxic love and pipe dreams. With disarming honesty and a generous dose of self-irony, she reveals her inner world layer by layer. Since the collaboration "Summer Blues", which made it into the playlists of various major radio stations in Germany in 2021, Lia J has been working with producer and musician Bastido, who also co-produced her debut EP "Date An Addict" (2022).
Shaped by the jazz influence on hip-hop of the 90s and fascinated by purely analog productions of the 70s, Bastido’s music moves incessantly in relaxed and stress-free sounds. After numerous lofi hip-hop / jazz-hop releases since his debut beat tape "travels:barcelona" (2018), the artist has begun to mix his originally purely instrumental style with influences from alternative R&B and neo-soul.
