ABOUT THE PROJECT
Both individually and in the context of the 21st century, "Mid 20s" by Lia J and Bastido reflects the challenges and self-discovery of the twenties. With spring to summer sounds, the 12 songs offer at times catchy melodies that easily find their place in playlists, on the radio, television or café, but on closer listening unfold a complex thematic depth that encompasses climate crisis, criticism of capitalism and self-acceptance.
For singer Lia J and producer / part-time singer Bastido, the album marks the peak of their collaboration to date, which has been well received on radio stations such as Deutschlandfunk Kultur, COSMO and Bayern2, as well as major streaming playlists.
"Mid 20s", released in July 2024, is available for streaming on all platforms and can also be enjoyed on vinyl.
